Greetings!
Attached photo features the Asbury UMC contingent, gathered around a jack pallet. We purchased this needed piece of equipment, using funds gathered by children during our Vacation Bible School. When it arrived (in all is day-glo green beauty), we signed our names, as well as "with loving memories of Sylvia Moon." Sylvia Moon was all set to go on this mission trip, and we miss her.
Today we continued assembling kits, working on school kits, health kits, and birthing kits. (Birthing kits go to areas where there is no medical help available.....a mylar sheet of plastic, rubber gloves, razor blade and receiving blanket.) Often, we wondered who would receive these kits? What are they experiencing? May this kit meet a need, and offer hope.
For lunch, we took a short field trip, and walked to a nearby tire store....which also housed a Mexican restaurant. Quite a unique setting for lunch! Believe me, we did not tire of all the puns we came up with.
that's the latest!
blessings,
Kim
